Global job outlook improving

Worldwide hiring is expected to pick up in Q2 2017 according to the Manpower Group. Companies in 39 of 43 countries report efforts to increase staffing levels in the coming quarter with companies in Taiwan, Japan, Slovenia, India, Hungary and the United States showing the most optimistic hiring expectations. Companies looking to attract new talent, especially in APAC, should expect fierce competition for the most sought-after skills. Talent shortages across APAC continue to result in high levels of employee turnover in key sectors.

Employers are more subdued in Western Europe where there is more uncertainty as elections are set to happen through the year. Having seen the surprising election results in the UK and U.S. in 2016, European businesses know to expect the unexpected
