We are rolling out a new series of webcasts focusing on specific destinations around the world! These sessions are aimed at educating global mobility teams on the unique aspects of moving talent to these cities. That includes a big-picture city overview along with insights on immigration, housing, and neighborhood details, plus key elements to address for settling in. Mobility leaders and teams can use these to work through recruiting and supporting employees in these locations.
Curious about moving to London? We recently partnered with Adleo to shine a spotlight on Life in London. Also take a look at this video for some more details. The timing is perfect, since we just saw a 2024 report from Resonance, “World’s Best Cities Report”, evaluating the top 100 cities globally. The team look at three big overarching categories that they call Livability, Lovability, and Prosperity. These broad categories include 24 components (things like walkability, culture, entertainment, GDP per capita etc.)
This year, London topped the list as the #1 city in the entire world. Quite an achievement! Or, in the words of Paddington Bear: “In London, everyone is different, and that means that anyone can fit in!”.
The reality is that London is attractive to critical talent. According to fDi Markets, the Financial Times’ foreign investment tracker, London has pulled in the most foreign direct investments into tech from international companies since 2018, ahead of New York, Singapore, and Dubai.
Which city is #2? It's our Olympic host this year, Paris! As the Games move into their last stages, we've collected insights from Jérémy Berthoux, the Managing Director and President of Home Conseil. In our Spotlight webcast on Life in Paris, he catches us up on Parisian mobility essentials, like immigration, housing availability, cost, and other key elements that must be addressed to help settle a family into Life in Paris.
By the end, you'll agree with Audrey Hepburn that “Paris is always a good idea”!
We have more destination sessions in the works! Stay tuned!
