Global mobility reimagined — what's hot?

Attendance at the recent Worldwide ERC Global Workforce Symposium in Washington, DC, swiftly followed by the annual Expat Academy conference in London, has acted as the catalyst for fresh thinking in our collective world of global mobility. So what's hot?

Panel sessions and table discussions at both conferences benefited from some the wisest folk in our industry and were represented from corporate in-house and supply partner professionals. For me, there were two light bulb moment statements, and I wanted to share these with you for further digestion and discussion. 1. Compliance Compliance is a two way street and something to be respected. Don't hold suppliers to strict contracted terms and then expect them to bend rules when you need a short cut to be taken - courtesy of Robert Fletcher. 2. ROI ROI should not be a complex algorithm, built to figure out if you made the correct choice of assignee. Invest time and effort at the front end to carefully assess an assignee candidate. Take care and make the right choices - courtesy of Helen Walton
