Are you preparing for Brexit? Grasp the nettle!

With Article 50 due to be triggered by the UK government no later than the end of March 2017, companies who have so far undertaken little or no Brexit planning are at heightened risk of playing catch-up and potentially destabalising their affected workforce.

This brief article by Freddie Dawson contains some alarming statistics. Our advice: take action now. Audit your workforce (especially assignees) to establish your "at-risk" population, and plan for immigration approvals and the associated costs or early repatriations, if necessary. Also, make sure that Brexit conversations are taking place across your entire organisation and become a strategic leader in your resource and risk planning. Grasp the nettle!

Brexit could have a significant impact on the future of UK-based businesses particularly in areas like immigration. For example a recent survey by Fragomen, an immigration law-firm found that 48% of UK businesses see recruitment of EU nationals as very important for UK operations while only 4% did not consider EU national recruitment at all important to their business.
